Art essay due on Monday, and i also need to think about how to present pages in art diary too...decorations, etc
Yeah...busy week ahead.
Well, Spectrum was on at lunch today, didn't go though, even though I should have because I signed up for the Chapel Band thing. Oh yeah...Chapel Band...yeah, i went to the meeting...There were only 4 Yr 11s, and the rest were Year 10s or 9s. There were about 2 or 3 Yr 12s...
Mr N and Mrs G really freaked me out a bit, talking about all that "leading the audience in worshipping God" or something like that. Whatever it was, it sure made me think, What the?
But i guess I'll still sign up for it...I'm not religious but it gives me something to do with my guitar, even though April calls it 'social suicide'... Thanks a lot...
Whitney said there are no fixed audition times though...
Sayaka texted me today...which is surprising...I texted her, knowing that she would get/read it but not expecting a reply..but it came! Huh...she NEVER replies.
Oh, another thing for my To Do list is Shop for River Cruise stuff...hmf...there's still about 3 weeks left...aaaah!!! It's so annoying, I can't be bothered about it anymore...Jeez..before I was like Ah! River Cruise, River Cruise!!! But now, it's just like...Ah, who cares...Cant be screwed anymore..
I've been learning Sweet Home Alabama on the guitar at the moment, and Layla as well. Hmm...I'm really sick of Sweet Home Alabama...sounds so country/texan. And you should know, I hate country and hillbilly, American stuff...Bogans....aaaahhhh
Yeah, yeah, I know Sweet Home Alabama is like blues-ey but...argh, i just hate it so much. And we have to perform that at the end of the term. I really don't want to.
I'd rather perform something Muse like Time is Running Out or Plug In Baby but...i think it's supposed to show our 'guitar skills' or something....I wonder if we will ACTUALLY perform though, because my teacher said the same thing last year but we never did get around to performing.....though he sounded pretty determined when he told me about it.
I think I'm supposed to do a song with SA...she's is SO good it's not funny...She's in my year, and in my Art and English classes too.
He was like (talking about the song we're doing together) "You can just sort of play the rhythm guitar and she can do the riffs and lead guitar" And i was like Aw...okay.......
Then he realised and he added "And you could do some leads as well! You two could swap around..." ---yeah yeah...really, i'd rather just stick to the rhythm guitar for the whole song. I'll just ruin the song if I do the lead!
But he said we might not do it. I hope we do! It's a good song. All Along the Watchtower- Jimi Hendrix. And the chords are easy too, there're only 3... :P
